Terms of Service
Effective August 10, 2026. Weldon Hastings d/b/a WeldonPC.com, serving Cuyahoga County, Ohio.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Shelf2Shelf (the “Service”), operated by Weldon Hastings d/b/a WeldonPC.com (“we”, “us”). By creating an account, listing an item, bidding, or buying, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What Shelf2Shelf is — and is not
Shelf2Shelf is an online marketplace serving Cuyahoga County, Ohio. We provide the platform on which buyers and sellers find each other and transact. We are not the seller of items listed by users. The contract of sale for any item is formed directly between the buyer and the seller.
Weldon Hastings d/b/a WeldonPC.com also sells items on the Service in its own right. Listings offered by the operator's own account are identified by the seller name on the listing. For those items, the operator is the seller of record, and the seller responsibilities described in these Terms apply to it in that capacity; the platform-only disclaimers in this section apply to items listed by third-party sellers.
For items listed by third-party sellers, we do not take possession of, inspect, warrant, or guarantee any item. Sellers are solely responsible for their listings, for the accuracy of their descriptions, for the legality of what they sell, and for delivering what they sold.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to use the Service.
- You must provide accurate registration information and keep it current.
- You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, and for keeping your password secure. Tell us promptly at support@shelf2shelf.com if you suspect unauthorised use.
- You must verify your email address before your account becomes active.
- One person, one account. Accounts may not be sold or transferred.
3. Selling
To sell, you must accept the Seller Agreement and complete payment-account onboarding. We may also require identity verification before you can list or receive payouts.
- You must own the item, or be authorised to sell it, and it must be legal to sell.
- Descriptions and photographs must be accurate and must be of the actual item.
- You must honour the price and terms you published, and deliver by the method you offered.
- You are responsible for any taxes arising from your sales.
Prohibited items
You may not list: firearms, ammunition or weapon components; explosives or hazardous materials; illegal drugs, controlled substances or drug paraphernalia; prescription medicines or medical devices requiring a prescription; alcohol or tobacco; live animals; human remains or bodily fluids; counterfeit, stolen or recalled goods; items infringing anyone’s intellectual property; government or law-enforcement identification; personal data or account credentials; adult material; or anything else prohibited by law or that we determine is unsafe or inappropriate for a community marketplace.
Fees
Listing is free, and selling is currently commission-free — sellers keep 100% of the item price. The Service is supported by on-site advertising. We reserve the right to introduce a sales commission or payment-processing pass-through in the future; any such change will be announced at least 30 days in advance and will apply only to sales completed after it takes effect.
4. Buying
- Placing a bid or completing a purchase creates a binding commitment to buy at that price.
- Prices are in US dollars.
- You are responsible for reading the listing, including its condition and delivery method, before you commit.
- You must pay promptly. Where an item is collected in person, you must arrange collection with the seller within a reasonable time.
5. Auctions
- Bids are binding. Placing a bid is an offer to buy at that amount, and you cannot retract it simply because you changed your mind.
- The highest bid at the close wins, provided any reserve price has been met.
- A seller may set a reserve. If the reserve is not met, no sale occurs.
- A winning bidder must complete payment within 72 hours of the auction closing. If payment is not completed in that window, the order may be cancelled, the item may be relisted, and repeated non-payment may result in suspension.
- We may extend an auction’s closing time where bids arrive close to the deadline, and may cancel bids or auctions that appear fraudulent or manipulative.
6. Payments and payouts
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not collect or store your full card details. By transacting, you also agree to the Stripe Services Agreement, and sellers additionally agree to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement.
Seller proceeds, less our commission and any processing fees, are paid to the seller’s connected payment account. We may delay, hold or reverse a payout where an order is disputed, where fraud is suspected, or where we are required to do so.
7. Delivery
Sellers may offer local pickup, shipping, or delivery by a driver where available. Risk passes to the buyer on collection or delivery. Where an item is shipped and no delivery timeframe was stated, it should ship within 30 days of the order, consistent with the FTC’s Mail, Internet, or Telephone Order Merchandise Rule.
8. Prohibited conduct
You may not: transact outside the Service to avoid fees; manipulate bidding, including bidding on your own items or arranging others to do so; post false, misleading or fabricated content, including fake reviews; harass or abuse other users; scrape, probe or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service; upload malware; or use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
9. Reporting suspicious activity
If you see a listing, seller or message that looks fraudulent, unsafe or otherwise suspicious, report it to support@shelf2shelf.com, or use the feedback control available on the site. We review reports and may remove listings or suspend accounts.
10. Content you post
You keep ownership of the text and images you upload. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display and reproduce that content for the purpose of operating and promoting the Service. You confirm you have the rights to everything you upload.
11. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms, that presents a risk to other users, or where we are required to act. You may close your account at any time by contacting us; obligations arising from completed or pending transactions survive closure.
12. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, nor do we warrant any item, seller or buyer.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data or lost goodwill. Our total liability arising from or relating to a transaction is limited to the greater of the amount of our commission on that transaction, or $100. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
14. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Weldon Hastings d/b/a WeldonPC.com from claims, damages and reasonable legal costs arising out of your use of the Service, your listings or purchases, or your breach of these Terms.
15. Disputes between users
Disputes about an item are primarily between the buyer and the seller. We provide a dispute process described in our Refund & Dispute Policy and may assist, mediate, or reverse a payment where appropriate, but we are not obliged to resolve every dispute and we are not a party to the sale.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You and we agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Cuyahoga County, Ohio.
17. Changes
We may update these Terms. Where a change is material we will give reasonable notice, such as by email or a notice on the site. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms. The effective date is shown at the top of this page.
